Attaching pics to pm

Not sure if this is in the right place so sorry if not....but can anyone tell me how to attach a picture to a pm please ...in the threads we have a simple attach file button but in messages it wants the url and not being techy minded I'm a bit stumped . Any help will be appreciated so thanks in advance

You can. Just a little extra effort, not too much.
Go to a thread ,click on attach file (you're not going to actually attach it). Attach your pic. Then click on the blue link above and save link... Leave thread without posting. Go to message, click on portrait icon. Add link. Picture appears
