Thought I would document my adventure in Skyrim through screen shots and a little text :)
My modbuild is Dark Lady Lexy's LOTD. It's taken a while to get here but it's worth it.

Ulfadottir began her adventure here, at the Flying Knight Tavern in the Rift.

After paying my respects at the shrine in the basement, I had a good meal and set out heading for Ivarstead, narrowly avoiding a skirmish between local guards and an Imperial patrol. Although I did manage to bag myself some better armour and weapons ;)

It's been a long-time snice I walked these roads, and I wasn't sure how long it would take me, nothing seems familiar... but it is beautiful...

After gettign slightly lost on the road, and a little hassle with some wild wolves I reached the inn at Ivarstead just as the sun was setting.
xQz58J8.png

Which was good, as I didn't want to spend the night out without any camping gear, and I was getting tired.

I left Ivarstead early the next morning after a good bath and a hearty meal. My plan was to head to Helgan where there is a nice inn. If I remember right, they serve mead flavoured with Juniper berries.
Just had to deal with another wolf attack before heading up through the pass.

I made good time, but when I descended the pass towards Helgan it was aflame, and what looked like a... dragon? was flying away from it.

I had no option but to press on to Riverwood, vowing to return to Helgan when the flames had died down to investigate further.

I was shortly at the border in to Whiterun hold.

Thankfully Riverwood was untouched when I reached there

There was a lot of commotion, some old lady had also seen the dragon. As I wasn't really sure what was going on I decided not to mention anything, so I off loaded my loot at the Riverwood Trader.

And the owner tasked me with retrieving some stolen property, normally not something I would get involved in, but his sister was rather cute and offered to guide me to the edge of town to show me where the thieves took off to,

A little while and a few dead bandits later and I found the barrow, just as the cloud dropped in. Wich was handy for sneaking in and slaying the remaining bandits before I entered the barrow itself.

Apparently, the leader of the bandits was a guy called Arvil or something. He ran in to some trouble when he triggered a trap, and I retrieved the stolen gold claw off his body. Along with a few other useful items...

There was a notebook with some scribbles in it about a door to treasure and power. I thought it was worth Investigating further. And after hacking my way through a horde of drauger, I finally happened upon the door in the notes.
ItanADm.png

And to be honest... I didn't really need the notes, it was pretty obvious how to work out the code to the lock. Once I had it was only a few more undead, and a short walk to the sanctuary.

And of course, there were more draugar.
But once I dispatched them, I approached this wall where I seemed to absorb some sort of power.
KI4gAnV.png

I have no idea what it was. I guess I will find out soon enough. Meanwhile there was a shortcut to the exit, and I was soon out in the open air once more.
QhbsdVK.png

I don't think I'm far from Riverwood, so I will head back there to sell my loot and rest up before returning to Helgan to see what happened... and if there is anything I can salvage from the wreckage.

By the time I returned to Riverwood, it was dark, but at least I was going to sleep in a nice cozy inn after a relaxing hot bath and a good meal.

The next morning, I offloaded my loot, claimed my reward from the guy at the Riverwood Trader, and returned to Helgan to see what was had happened.
When I got the Helgan was nothing but burnt building and ash, with just a few of the stone buildings left.
Iuj2XUw.png

I found a very crispy adventurer whose journal had somehow survived...
zKbJrBW.png

I searched the keep for survivors and salvage, but there was no one left and part way down the tunnels had collapsed blocking any further exploration.

So, I'm going to head back to Riverwood then explore the local area. I'm fairly sure someone will have told the local Jarl by now, so I'm not going to rush over to Whiterun until I have finished here.

After a little exploring around the Riverwood area, clearing out a few groups of bandits, I headed off to Whiterun
qyZGR6u.png

It's only a short journey, and I could soon see the walls of the city and Dragonsreach sitting proudly within.
ROMyQLk.png

As I approached, there was a fight going on between a giant and three warriors. One of which was a rather nice-looking lady who suggested I should join the Companions.

As it was, I found a companion of my own... this young lady was sleeping off an overindulgence in the Whiterun stables. She couldnt remember what had happened to her clothes...
HooHdYZ.png

Fortunately, I had some spare gear I could lend her.

And by the time we got to the city I was already enjoying her company.

Typically, it began raining the moment I stepped in to Whiterun, so I thought I would move from store to store selling loot and picking up some much-needed supplies, especially as there were two of us. Happily, Warmaidens armoury is right next to the gate, so we sheltered there for a short time.

Then we moved up to Belathor's Store
ZIZz9Fi.png

Then to Arcadia's Cauldron, the owner of which suggested I looked ill and maybe needed a remedy... Hmm i likely story...
s8LkPvy.png

Shopping done, we decided to get a room and a nice hot bath in the Bannered Mare

Tomorrow, my new companion, Sofia and I will take on a few odd jobs for the locals to earn some septims, while we plan where our road will take us.

The next morning, we visited Dragonsreach, the palace of the local Jarl, to pass on the information about Helgan.
mRDseQm.png

Then, following a little gossip we learned the priest of the Temple of the Dead wanted a hand recovering his amulet,

Then we recovered an heirloom that had somehow found its way into the sewers

Before carrying a message over to Riverwood where we made use of my new tent

Tomorrow, we return to Whiterun to retrieve a sword for some Redguard we bumped in to in the market.

I didn't even know you made this!!! I have to catch up!!! Lol
Glad you're enjoying Judith. :)

Hopefully the posts should resume shortly, I've have a few technical issues that were causing ILSs and CTDs which i think I have cured now thanks to the people over at the guide help pages and the excellent Fallrim software.

So the next morning we returned to Whiterun
lMMc4ew.png

We heard tell of a new museum that had opened in Solitude that required adventurers to seek out items from across the region, so we immediately headed off in that direction.
iFSFjxf.png

We passed a place called Bard's Leap on the way. We will investigate that at some point, but not today.

Solitude is a big city and had been where the High King lived until Ulfric ended his reign.

I am trying to steer clear of local politics so avoided the crowd watching the execution and headed straight for the nearest inn, the Winking Skeever.

Which I have to say was a very nice place to stay, although rather pricey.

I have to admit, the inside of the museum was impressive, and that was just a glance at the entry hall. The Curator said he would pay handsomely for any exhibits I could find to display and gave me a list. A jade statue, a ring and a large war hammer.
Skyrim-Special-Edition-22-11-2022-22-28-42.png

So we set out to head south a ways for the first item.

After collecting a few things, the owner of the museum offered me a partnership in the place, him running the show and me doing the collecting. So I get a regular wage, plus a nice safehouse to live in and a new set of armour
