Just got into Dark Souls. But always been a fan of rpgs. The Final Fantasy games are always good. Recently got into the new Fairy Tail rpg game. Greedfall is pretty badass. Adventure style, the Uncharted series can't be beat.

'best videogame' is a hard thing to narrow down. Best could mean so many different things. The personal ones ive enjoyed the most in 2020 have been Pokemon, Last of Us, Animal Crossing, Apex, COD, and Fortnite

This may date me some, but I was a big fan of call of duty on PC, Metal Gear Solid on PS, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, and the TellTale video games on The Walking Dead and GoT.

Big KOTOR fan here, so not the only one :D

To say best game is a subjective opinion, so I'll list a few which may or may not repeat but it's on my list of.

I've always been a big fan of RPG's and the Soulsborne Series. My list of must play games:

1. Hollow Knight (Amazing art style, strong story, lots of replayability and fairly cheap on steam for what it is)
2. Ori and the Will of the Wisps (The story itself is very beautiful and very easy to follow along. Not dependent on reading item descriptions to know the game's lore and main story. If you want to be more immersed i'd recommend playing Ori and the Blind Forest since it is a prequel of sorts to the Will of the Wisps, however it's not necessary in order to have immersion in the story)
3. Sekiro Shadows Die Twice: (Beautiful Art style, same developers as the Dark Souls/Bloodborne series)
4. Dark Souls 1/Dark Souls 3/Bloodborne (Grouping these together as its hard for me to place a favourite out of these and they all operate under the same premise/art styles. Very fun and rewarding games)

One of my all time favorites is Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight. From gameplay to a stunning visual style, to one of the best soundtracks I’ve heard in games, it’s the easiest game I could recommend from my library.

Best is subjective, but as for me my most favorite ones are semi-realistic first person shooters: the COD series, Counter Strike series, Battlefield series plus many more. I used to be moderating the forums too at one point a long way back.
Occasionally I do play ARMA when in the mood for the more realistic FPS genre.
I do dig racing games once in a while (Project Cars, NFS series)
And of course, as a Star Wars fan, I have a collection of these as well (Battlefront II = both old and new versions, X-Wing Alliance etc)

Uff this is a hard one. Imma go by genre.

RPG - Final Fantasy 7+8
Platformer/Action - Banjo Kazooie, Super Mario 64, Super Mario World, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Donkey Kong 64, Metal Gear Solid, Sonic 3, Hitman 2
Sports - Fight Night Round 3, ISS Pro Evolution Soccer 4, Tekken 7
FPS - Halo 1-3, Goldeneye, Wolfenstein: The New Order
Strategy/Puzzle - Command & Conquer Red Alert 2, Advance Wars 2 Dual Strike, Age of Empires 2, Quirk, Tetris
Racing - Gran Turismo 4, Mario Kart 64, Wave Race 64, Burnout 3
Sandbox - GTA 3+Vice City+5, Zelda Breath of the Wild, Assassins Creed Black Flags
Simulation - City Skylines, SimCity 3000, Theme Hospital, Rollercoaster Tycoon (most Tycoon games tbh, addictive AF lol)
Beat em Ups - Power Rangers The Movie, Michael Jackson Moonwalker, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles Turtles in Time, The Simpsons Arcade game, Double Dragon

That will do :)

Minecraft because I'm immature like that, also it's a great game to just chill out with my friends without having to worry about anything stressful or thinking much lol

Been some time since I played much besides occasional casual puzzle games, but back in the day, my favorites were, in no particular order:

System Shock 2
Wasteland series
Bioshock
Dues Ex
Half-life 1 and 2 and all the related games

For now I'd say
Cold War
GTA 5
Fortnite
I'm playing these games n chilling in lockdown they help out a lot in cooking the boredom

Also, pre-PC-gaming, I played a lot of these at video arcades:
Defender
Tempest
Missile Command
Asteroids

Do pinball games count?
