Well, then do wear a wet suit and other proper scuba diving gear before jumping as a cliffside does not have a gradual descent like a beach, as as (yes, 2 (as)'s, N0T a typo ) high the cliff is from the water surface, there's also a good amount of depth to account for in the sea from the water surface.

I know I see them doing it here and along the coast path - proper protective gear, supervision - but it just looks so mad and wild.

They don't jump from the top - usually only about 30 feet up - and don't wear diving gear: not here anyway.
