The question is do you ? You have taken someone else's paranoia and delutions of granduer and made them your own. You have taken something that only exists in that person's head and tried to make it real. And let it effect how you think and act . So do you feel better? Are you ok now ?

Directors version of this film is a lot better. But the book series is one of my Faves ever..
Shhh, but I have a 'copy' of the directors cut on my portable HDD..
The books,
Book 1. Thoroughly enjoyed it, wonderful tale, vivid descriptions, incredible imagination.
Book 2. Not a bad follow on, felt strange at the end
Book 3. This is utter nonsense.
Book 4. One can only assume drugs were involved.

But then you have all the fun stuff beforehand now as well. Its worth reading those. Just so that by the time you get to all the books added at the end you can sit back and go WTF :D

Have you read The Night Watch books by Sergei Lukyanenko? I think as a series they would be something you'd enjoy. Its a different cultures take on the supernatural and very well written.

Clan of the Cave Bear I know, my mum was a keen fan of them along with the Dragons of Pern books. EE Smith, read a couple as well. Cherie Priests who steampunk series is amazing. She's a very talented writer who can convey solid emotions in people. I could go on with books I love. I'm sat at my PC looking at two bookcases overflowing with books..
