Okay this is probably an easy one to help with but maybe I´m missing the obvious solution.
My buddy (from our army days) has just opened an account here and he´s loving the site, the problem is when he comes to visit, if he wants to login using my computer will it be a simple case of me needing to log out, or will he need to use a different device ?
Hopefully by then my ban will be lifted because I don't want it to look like ban evasion (something I learnt a little bit about on here).
I hope it´s an easy solution.

Yes you would need to log out.

The thing is, if your banned it could ban him as well as you will be sharing an IP address. Even if he uses his own device on your WiFi it's still the same IP address.

Definitely sounds like attempting ban evasion to me.

It’s always “the friend”

If I was trying to evade a ban I wouldn't be announcing it here would I ?
And as my ban was for something silly as opposed to something serious, I´m kinda hoping I will be ban free by the time he visits.

The Apartment block where I live also has a Shared IP, I however use a gigacube box which I can simply take with me whenever I travel without the hassle of using slower free wifi services, my logic being "I´m paying for it whether I use it or not", a cse being I was just in hospital for 5 weeks, took it with me "et voila" hassle free internet.

I'm more surprised that anyone is having a friend visit and intends to spend the time in FCN..

That's just.. tragic...

He joined today after being a guest user for a while, and because I have to work for the first couple of days he can have a bit of fun while I´m at work.
And tragic is quite far from the truth. I was recently in hospital due to complications with a "Simple" infection. 5 weeks of intensive treatment to save my leg, and getting to know some fantastic people on here actually helped me a lot through the darkest times.
Never underestimate the power of chat.
