Cover versions

That is great lol. It was just so overplayed and it’s just so annoying idk. I know people like it. Just my opinion but thank you for sharing this! I’ve seen AV club on YouTube but not this one. Also a big fan of Like a Version. I’m so gonna post in this thread now. I love covers. Thank you! Can I include a cover here? I’ll just drop it on this post
Glad you found it better. Their record label used to get their performance videos removed - so there were folks that reposted them surreptitiously and likely quite illegally (just what I've heard - if I knew anyone that did that, well they would be very bad - lol). This one was known for the "it's a rocker" line in the reposts. Now that the band split, I see the record company is posting the videos back...with their watermark. smh

@Bailey94 - had to find this for you based on your post in "songs that" - lol. AV Undercover invite bands to pick a song off a list to play a cover. As the list gets smaller, the later bands have less to choose from. I still haven't knowingly heard the original (I might be the only human left that hasn't lol) I wonder if Marissa does it any better. At the end of the video, they ask typical stupid interviewer questions (on purpose, I think).

..."I don't listen to it on purpose"
You ain't the only one! Taylor Swift just holds completely and utterly no interest for me at all. Also so good to read a bit of your blurbage again, love your style.

@youngbustyredhead your selection is a lovely rendition. I truly am just unfamiliar with her work. I am a 67 old old man - probably far from her intended audience so I just don't come across it, at least in a way I'm aware of it. I live near KC, we do get a lot of coverage of her personal life - wishing her and Travis the best.

@Vanessa_Agogo - I have a style?? that's a shock - lol

Not a style, but rather style.

I actually don't feel very strongly about Taylor Swift lol, I like some of her songs but not a huge fan or anything. I DO however feel strongly about Haley Reinhart (the artist singing in that cover) and will find any excuse to post something she's done haha

Geburt einer Nation - Laibach

You may or may not recognise Queen's "One Vision". This was in 1987 at the height of the Industrial movement with these very serious young insects from Slovenia up there with the best of them. Few could or would understand what they were doing and so screwed with everyone's heads. Tito in particular had a real problem with them to the point of officially prohibiting the public use of the name Laibach. It was in fact the earliest recorded name for the city of Ljubljana the capital of Slovenia, it just happened to be a Germanic name.
