Clay platter, fired to temperature with wood over a few days. Soda is introduced at the end of the firing and it follows the path of the flame, providing some of the process markings.
Thank you! It's a real labour of love, but firing with friends is one of the best experiences.Very nice
Thank you so much for sharing this idea here! I was just going to add the jar and your message!Get a clean dry jar, decorate the outside of it if you wish. Keep a functional pen and some paper next to your jar. Every time something happens which gives you happiness, positivity, etc write it down, fold up the paper, and put it in the jar. At the end of the year, sit down and randomly take the peices of paper out, read them, and focus on all the positivity that has happened to you that year.

Thank you so much! I need to get my butt back into creative mode, though. My studio has more regular dust than clay dust at the momentI really love this piece!
The blending looks quite seemless. I would love to camp under a sky like this. Who needs any other entertainment if you could look up and see this. I also like how the composition makes my eye travel around the picture.Half of this is a real photo, the other half is a picture that I downloaded. Blending the two together was quite fun.

That looks a lot like John LennonThis was unexpected. I came home from a business trip to find a package that was mailed to me. I opened it up, and found it was a "self-portrait" sculpture I made at least 40 years ago and given as a gift, that was returned!
