Let's tighten the perspective. You're posting on a website with predominantly American population who are spoken with a slightly different tone, openness, etc than people in other countries. Culture matters.
In U.S. almost 80% of humans are overweight. Half of those humans are obese.
Which group are you asking? That matters a lot whether you choose to agree with it or not.
On adult websites (and FCN is no exception), women are typically outnumbered by men at a ratio of closer to 5:1. You're sampling a very narrow range of population and I'm assuming you're into women, because your profile indicates so.
Age range you're targeting matters very much as well.
Relationship status matters.
People who socialize exclusively or mostly online will have different, or at least skewed, opinions from those who aren't into online discussions such as this one. This happens for a number of reasons, including uncomfortable ones which most people will refuse to discuss with an open mind. Optics matter to everyone, whether you believe it or not.

I was speaking generally to be honest. Yes I’m into women but the topic was open to everyone in general.
For example, I find women of all shapes and sizes attractive. I like what is considered a BBW but I’d also say this is more fetishised as a preference than a bigger guy?

You're going to get largely dishonest and skewed-by-situation-viewpoint opinions from less than 20% of representative population. You'll get too much tone noise.
Best opinions are anonymized, from targeted groups.
What you need is an anonymized poll with specific group segmentations. People can then be honest without the fear of being crucified by peers.
