Difficulty logging into Chat

For the last week or two, chat will NOT allow me to login fully/successfully. I thought maybe it was my browser or Java, but it appears to be my user name - as I am able to log in as a guest no problem. Do you know of any troubleshooting that I can do on my end? Or is there anything administratively/supports wise that can resolve this? I'd greatly appreciate any/all help

Missing details. What happens when you try to log-in with your registered username?
Ensure you log-in via forum first and then access chat.

It loads all my friends. but then, appears to perpetually refresh... can't really interact at all (message won't send back/forth), just see sporadic posts

Just tried. same results when I log into the forum first before chat.
