Before finishing, lightly spritz it with water, let it dry, then gently knock back any raised fibres with 320 or 400 grit. Don’t go too deep (said no one ever) when sanding. This will help keep a smoother surface when you put your water based finish on it.
Yes. Already 3 or 4 coats in, sanded with 220grit inbetween coats. After final, thicker coat, I plan on 320g, then 600g, then 800g, then 1500g. Then I'll polish with beeswax Tell me it's not overkill.
