Face picture as your avatar

Hello all.

I'm jealous of the members on here who are bold enough to have a face picture as their avatar.

As for me I'm nervous that I will be recognised, and of the questions i will have to answer.

I know there is some forums on here which are 'everyday', but this place does also have a very naughty side to it!

So what do I do?

Give me your opinions on my ramblings...

Not showing your face is a good way to remain unrecognized.

This website is fully public and searchable by Google. Don't post personal information. Should probably keep your face out of here too if there's a privacy concern.

Don't use a picture you have on another site. It can reduce it being recognised.

Take it in a way that makes it harder to be seen fully. I must admit I flick between several avatars myself. One of which is me.

i really look like this with real moving parts
but when i joined i did put a mugshot up in the forum so they could check it wasn't a fake image from the net.
but now you have to be allowed to see my profile and pics much safer

Yes I could up my security settings to the max like yourself.

We all have masks we use at times. So if this gives you more confidence then that has to be good.

people usually are more comfortable online. Not saying anything negative it is just easier to express who you really are without being judged by society.

Same here, I feel I can discuss things here that I wouldn't otherwise voic. I'm very new but I recognise the importance of anonymity to this. It's whatever works for each member.

I never ever post pics of myself online even on FB among family. It has never stopped me from finding or forming relationships irl with people I've met on the net.

I have to agree with you, FallenFreya. I will never post a real pic in main chat due to the fact of being recognized! To much at risk for me. As this is only a source of entertainment and companionship. So I will just leave it at that. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
