The soundtrack to Eternal darkness was really underrated and had some good songs on it. This game was also very underrated

Busty, you are so right yet again! Eternal Darkness was my first game themed with cosmic horror. The lovecraftian influences are brilliant and I loved the insanity mechanic. (Did you get hte one where it pretends your save file was deleted? So mean!)

Yes! I was really bad at this game so my sanity levels went down a lot so i'm sure i've seen all the things that happens when your sanity goes down. That was very 4th wall breaking. I wish they made a sequel to this game. It was in the works but it never happened. :(

I'm adding some more:

This one from a super underrated Jrpg called Rhapsody a musical adventure

And one from one of my all-time favorites games for PS1 Medieval

And this one from tekken 2

Yes! Keep 'em coming! It's been forever since I've played MediEvil but I definitely loved the soundtrack. Eternal Darkness is one I've been wanting to play since I've heard of it yeeeeears ago

I have three picks here. First and absolutely foremost is BRUTAL LEGEND! Never had a game been so metal before nor shall one after.

I also gotta say, Journey was an absolute piece of art i still appreciate and the music was just spot on in drawing the emotional effects of the otherwise simple and clean graphical style.

Third, freakin Guacamelee. If you only play that game for 5 minutes or 5 hours, you WILL have the music stuck in your head, assuming you haven't gone around clucking like a chicken the whole time.

Rdr 2 has one of the best soundtracks ever. Each song matches the storyline perfectly and they bring out all sorts of emotions.

Currently obsessed with the Remedy Connected universe games (Alan Wake, Control) & all the tracks Poets of the Fall / Old Gods of Asgard made for them.

Loads of stuff, Rogue Trader Lex Imperialis is always a treat.

Mass Effect has a good bunch. Suicide mission is a vibe though.

And then I'd probably have to say Darktide has some bangers.

I'm a big fan of Yuzo Koshiro, he made the Streets of Rage series and is one of the biggest techno vidya ost makers, but he's also responsible for Ys and Etrian Odyssey so his more fantasy side is also great.

Other than him, probably Nobuo Uematsu from Final Fantasy fame and the entirety of the Chrono series soundtrack (trigger and cross), not a single bad tune in those two games.

Hell yeah! Love a bit of Koshiro. Loads of great classic Sega tracks from him. Got to give Takenobu Mitsuyoshi a shout too!
