Its about time the chat got updated. I have been using the old one since 2009? ish as I recall.

Feature Request:

I like the new options and modern UI, but noticed the following:

1) Need an option to suppress or disable User Join/Leaves room. I believe I've seen that function before on other chat sites.

2) I would like the whisper or PM function to come up when clicking on the user name. Right now we have to click on the pfp for the message dialog to appear.

For some reason users in India room don't get it and resort to asking other party to initiate PM. Cmon people its the XXI Century already...

Its about time the chat got updated. I have been using the old one since 2009? ish as I recall.

As far as I recall, it was around Oct/Nov 2016 that chat updated from the old CHAT123 software to the current 'old chat' version. They added the forum around the same time.

That up date was very welcome as I also recall due to the lack of features in the CHAT123 package. It would appear that this latest incantation of chat isn't gaining the same approval as that change did. It looks like its about 50/50 with the new chat software, half of the people like it, half prefer the old version.

Personally, I prefer the old and will continue using it for as long as it exists. When it does eventually vanish, I fear my chat time will reduce drastically as although I am now familiar with the new version, I don't like it very much. Its far too complex but that's the nature of this modern world.

'New and Improved' always means more complex and less user friendly. I can compare it to my old washing machine. It had 1 knob, turn to the 'wash cycle', press and voila, clothes got washed. When it died and I replaced it with a new model, it now wants me to select from 7 different wash options, 5 different fabric types, liquid or powder detergent, short. medium or long cycle duration and do I pump the used water to a recycle tank? Its almost easier to hand wash the clothes. So much for 'new and improved'.. the clothes come out no cleaner so it begs the question, why the fuck bother with all that menu crap?
