Wow, I'm in awe.
It's taken me 20 years just to get to book 6.
I will admit they get pushed aside for other books, I will have to prioritize them soon.

I read the first three when I was stationed in Germany in 90-92. When I got hime to the States I got the first 6 as a Christmas present and was so sucked in at that point, it became an obsession. It helped I had friends and family that were also reading them so I had to keep up to avoid spoilers...

I opened a book and in I strode
Now nobody can find me.
I’ve left my chair, my house, my road,
My town and my world behind me.

I’m wearing the cloak, I’ve slipped on the ring,
I’ve swallowed the magic potion.
I’ve fought with a dragon, dined with a king
And dived in a bottomless ocean.

I opened a book and made some friends.
I shared their tears and laughter
And followed their road with its bumps and bends
To the happily ever after.

I finished my book and out I came.
The cloak can no longer hide me.
My chair and my house are just the same,
But I have a book inside me.

I am waiting for the final book in a series I have been reading to be delivered.
Can’t wait to see how the author wraps everything up but also sad that the story will be over.

I love his books. Great writer with some strange ideas. The wuthering heights cast rage counseling sessions or Hamlet trying to make a decision ordering a coffee...
