I plant it in deep tubs buried in the soil, then lift them out each year to pull up any spreading roots that got out.
It's a bed for herbs, away from vegetable beds. I'm not too worried and wouldn't be able lift them out anyway. Maybe I should add a soil barrier.

A friend suggested hammering in metal sheets to keep the roots contained but I haven't tried it. Marjoram tends in my experience to outcompete mint so might work as a separator?

This lil one finally decided to flower for me after 2 years...so excited and hope they do it again next year
