They're not much good when they become so large. I try to catch them when they're just a bit larger than the stuff at the store—helps the plant to produce more too.

I made a vegan zucchini bake. But thank you for the tip.
 
I’m growing cress (albeit indoors and not the garden).

DAY 1: Sprinkled cress seeds onto moistened cotton wool in a dish. Covered with plastic bag and placed near window.

DAY 2: Cotton wool dried out quickly, added plenty more water.

DAY 3 AM: We have germination! Wool was still very wet, no further watering necessary.

DAY 3 PM: Still very wet. More sprouting has occurred through the day.
