But I would much rather if the back button (the right touch to the home button for old phones like mine) would lead back to the last chat or room you were in instead of sending you back to the login screen, in old fcn when I tap the back button I'd go back to the previous chat or room which mqde switching between convos much easier and more fluid than having to go to the list and choose the room or chat you wanna enter every time to switch between 2 open chats

i found out something yesterday that might help you, I usually chat more than in one room so i also have to open the room list and select from it. However if you are already in more than one room you can just swipe left to right on your screen to switch rooms.
Although I haven’t tried it with pm

The web page with scripts are packaged and structured differently from the old interface software and by a different developer. Whatever the difference, for either, security, functionality and any other reason, that's how it's going to be.

Try bookmarking each room you frequent, since they're different URL's.
Try pressing and holding page back/forward buttons to access history.
