i wouldn't do guided tours id ask locals at the pub what else i should go see before, after, and during seeing the sites i know i'd want to go to.
and i mean jumping on a tour bus kind of thing

guided tours can be helpful sometimes, for some specific stuffs, otherwise i too prefer not to go there, instead look for websites for things to do and see and plan early then execute
