I have been on the chat for a couple of days and felt like giving the forum a chance because it looks interesting and not as nutty as the chat rooms can be.

That is what I am hoping for, a calmer and quieter environment to interact.
 
Welcome and enjoy yourself. The forums have many different things that can appeal to different people
