I'm afraid it's been many decades since I did that. There is an area a couple hours away with original tallgrass prairie and ruts from the wagon trains that headed west through it. But that's been a couple years now too. It's a great spot to do some star gazing. Nothings quite like standing in an open prairie with nothing around for miles in any direction, lit by nothing but star light.
