Global Human Trafficking

Human trafficking is a huge issue here in Atlanta, just wanna help get the word out to more peeps.

Trafficking people is absolutely disgusting and sometimes it happens right under our noses. Not asking everyone to change their pfp to a Red X or anything, just a bit of awareness can do everyone some good :)

It happens here frequently too. One of the biggest malls in the Phoenix area is known for being a popular spot for traffickers. I feel like most people think that human/child trafficking cant/doesnt halpen in 2021, but, it does.

Human trafficking happens all over the world not just in United States. Also the video only seemed to mention sex trafficking and not labour trafficking which is more polifent in certain areas.

Human trafficking is big business just like drug cartels are big business and many countries have their hands in both .
"The greatness of humanity is not in being human, but in being humane*

xxxx
According to this quote country is human because no country is humane. Everyone has their secrets

Movements like this seems a bit counter intuitive. Putting a red x on your hand or on your profile photo is nice but just doing that is not going to do anything but make you feel good. It is nothing but virtue signaling. Proper education can help but for people who don't live in first world countries this is the ky way they can make actual money to help their own self or family

You bring up an excellent point, most are not aware of labour trafficking either.

The point of a red x on your pfp or hand is the same point of this thread. Just discussing as we are now equates to the intent of a red x.

The above video was more like an awareness intro and why people have been wearing it.

Here is one a bit more in depth:

Since the years I've had my red x or even since you've known me I've shared what it's about maybe once or twice a year on average. Like GamerGirl92 says, most people don't think it's even happening these days. The whole point of the movement is just to bring awareness.

Per the movement:

Action Starts With Awareness

You can’t take a stand against something you don’t know exists. That’s why at END IT Movement, we focus our energy towards awakening the world to the fact that not only does slavery still exist, but that it’s more prevalent now than at any other time in history. It may seem like raising your voice isn’t doing enough, but as each of us comes alongside each other, we become a mighty roar calling culture’s attention to the scourage of human trafficking.

When you say "this is the key way they can make actual money to help their own self or family" what are you referring to exactly? I think I know but don't want to misunderstand you.

Most women in second and third world countries, mostly third world, are told of a glamourous life and love bombed into thinking they will come to a first world country to have a wonderful life. Turns out the wonderful life was all a lie and they live in fear every day that something bad will happen to them unless they work for their captors. This is the typical story most people hear about with human trafficking.

What I meant was when they are being used for sex tourism in their own country they are given a small percentage of that money. Some countries that small percentage is more then they would make anywhere else on their country. A lot of times those who are sold into human trafficking are sold by their own family. There are also those who stay in horrid conditions and don't attempt to break away because if they do they know their family will be either taken or worse

Gandhi meant the individual, not the collective.

Everything you've said here is true and so completely sad.
