I'm back packing through a deserted forest ...

"By golly, these men!" I shake my head in disbelief.
I calm down and quietly listen, "I can hear a faint gush of water from yon grove of trees", I think to myself.
"Gerben!" I yell as I stick my head inside your tent, "I'm going to the stream to fetch some water, join me if you manage to pull your ass out of your bag"
I pick up the empty water bottles lying around the fire pit and head towards the stream, reaching there in a few minutes.
 
* You see a figure squatting down at the stream...as you approach you see a younger guy ,6'2 ,musculy build ,with dark hair and eyes and a grown out short stubble...Wearing a tight fit black shirt and skinny cargo pants...A mountain backpack a few feet behind me as I'm filling up a bottle with water... I glance over to you and let out a subtle smirk* Morning...
 
"wait what! Who are you!?" I just awoken and look startled. " Ow yes you..

"Let me prepare, I slip out of my sleeping bag." But I have a huge boner, but I don't seem to notice it
 
"Good morning!" I reply as I survey the new fellow traveler I see in the morning by the stream. "You backpacking as well?" I ask pointing at your bag.
I remove my hiking boots and fold up my pants up to my knees before wading into the fresh cool water. I bend down to fill my water bottles and look at you with quizzical eyes "Would you know the way to the nearest town from here?"
 
*I look back down to the bottle as it fills up to the top...I put on the cap and throw it over to my bag...I then stand up and point down the stream* It's about a day or two walk from here ...if you just follow the water ,you'll get there...*I say as I go out and start packing up my camp...* I'm going there as well ...Been out here for about 3 days...From where did you come ? *I ask ,still not looking at you ,throwing my backpack on my right shoulder...*
 
...when I spot Smokey The Bear.

I say "Sawp, brahhhhhh!" He say "Yau, yau, yau, shiiiiiiiiii*! I pull out a few fatties, a bottle of tequila and some mothafukkin' chocolate donuts. Fuck yea. And we get fawking

I wake up in the morning with a hangover, my clothes missing and Smokey The Bear gone.

"Shit, I was supposed to bring the donuts to @Kathy_Doyle "
 
I follow Kathy to the stream, what is this woman doing to me? You come here to be alone and now you are following her around..

" It's not far now, just follow it upstream and you will find a town"
 
"I flew into Pigeon Hole and hiked from there for Knoxville but lost my way" I explain as I cap my bottles and cradle them into my arms as I wade back out from the water, observing your elusive demeanor the whole time. "Do you mind waiting for me? I want to go to the town but I need to pick up my stuff from a nearby camping site. I ran into this very nice guy last night and he let me stay at his site." I say almost pleadingly. "Do you hear that? That's him"
 
*I glance over your shoulder ,seeing him walk out of the treeline...I can't help but chuckle as I see him being so confused with what's going on...I look back at the stream and gesture with my hand for you to run back and pack your stuff* Sure...I'll be here ...Strength in numbers and all *I turn and finish up with extinguishing my fire...*
 
"Well hello there" I see these Forrest aren't as empty ad I thought"

I start filling my water bottles. And a bigger jerrycan. "What brings you to these woods?"

"I guess you are a city girl Kathy?"
 
* I turn my gaze to you as you approach me ,before returning it to the fireplace* Wanted to spend some time with myself...That's all..*I run my hand across my face and exhale deeply as I sit down and wait for Kathy to pack her shit,looking over to the stream ,fiddling with my knife in my hands...*
 
"Gerben" I say as I run by you towards the campsite, "meet this fellow traveller, he's going towards the nearby town and has kindly agreed to show me the way. Come, join us for the hike, you might need some supplies from the town anyway". I sprint towards the campsite and hurriedly roll up my tent and backpack and head back to the stream. "I hope these two get along, they both seem very nice people" I think to myself as I reach the stream. "Ready gentlemen?"
 
Let's go ... *I say in laconic manner and swiftly stand up ,throwing my backpack over my back and beginning to walk down the stream...Not really being the most talkative individual...I glance back to you two and gesture with my head to snap out of your sleepiness and speed it up*
 
"What's your name, if I may ask?" I ask hesitatingly as I adjust my shoulder straps and take the first few steps behind you. "Gerben," I call out looking back, "lets go".
 
I frown, I'm not leaving her alone with him.

"Give me a sec to hide this can" I follow you, fastening my pace.

Fuck what is that ass doing to me?

"So how did you end up her Kathy it's way off course!"
 
*I hear you call out behind me and I smirk subtly* Ragnar... And you? *I ask , glancing back to you for a second...The ambient noise from the stream already canceled out by our ears ,but still present....It's still early enough in the morning for the sun to not be too harsh on us so the treck is relatively easy for now...*
 
"Nice meeting you Ragnar, I'm Kathy" I reply a little awkwardly as I catch your eyes for a second. "Why am I blushing?" I think to myself as I simultaneously brush it off. "I don't know Gerben how I ended up here. If I knew, I wouldn't have lost my way. Have you been to this town before?" I look at you and ask.
 
*As you two are talking I make sure we keep up a good pace. Casually listening as I have nothing better to do,picking up small details along the way...There is a slight breeze blowing from behind us as the water creates it naturally as it runs down...*
 
"So, Ragnar," I say picking up some nerve to interrupt you, "you don't talk much I gather, but where are you from and what do you do in your daily life?" I try to sound nonchalant but the nervousness in my voice is picked up even by the jungle rats.
 
Why talk ,when there is nothing worth saying... *I remark with a calm low tone, seeing you catching up to me and walking beside me* I'm a student currently and had a week to myself...Guessed I could spend some of it out here...*I notice your timidness but don't think much of it * What about you...
