For lovers of the fantastic genre, here are two big surprises for this end of 2022:

_"Interview with a Vampire" adapted as a TV series on AMC, where Louis and Claudia are black, and the homosexuality between Louis and Lestat is really a thing.

_"Hellraiser" adapted into a movie on HULU, where the legendary and iconic Pinehead is played by a woman. (Jamie Clayton)

What do you think of this idea of making reboots of these two jewels of literature and fantastic cinema?
And what is your opinion about these "modern" changes? Personally, I'm super excited. =D These movies (and books) have been on my favorites list for a long time, so I welcome these innovations. :D

Hmm not really sure, I haven't read the books, more because I just haven't got round to it yet than anything else, nut the only thing that bothers me is how TV series tend to add a lot of padding. I will still watch it though as I thought the original movie was so good.

Honestly can't wait to watch this, I am hopefully going to watch it this weekend. I love the idea of Pinhead being cast as female, and have the original movies on DVD :D

Hello BadBabe77!

Thanks for your answer! I confirm that the movie "Interview with a Vampire" is great, better than the book in my opinion.
And the "Hellraiser" remake seems so promising (I still have not watch it yet). Me too, I have the Hellraser DVDs collection ;)
Tell me how you liked it! :D

About "remake" I am currently watching "StarTrek Picard"(on Amazon Prime). For a ST fan (especially "StarTrek Next Generation"), this is really good. The beginning is a bit slow but many great characters from the old series come back, plus some awesome space battle and an entertaining story... It is great for the SF nerds that we are.

1st movie was a little tame but taking in to account it was a few years old by the time i saw it, it wasnt too bad. 2nd one was IMO the best, and the 3rd nearly as good as 2. but i am a horror move addict, and i like original ideas so really looking forward to the new one :)

"StarTrek Picard"
Season 1 is awesome. It soon picks up speed dont worry. :D
Season 2 again starts slow but is really awesome by the end. I love how it wrapped.

Finally got round to watching this over the weekend. due to circumstances beyond my control i stayed up all Saturday night, so caught up on my watching.
Got to be honest, the story was fairly good, and the FX seriously good. Thought Jamie Clayton's Pinhead was excellent for the small amount she was in it. I think the only thing that didn't do it for me was the ending, it felt a little weak in comparison the the previous movies.

Season 3 of Picard is looking to be really good. First couple of episodes were, again, a little weak but it really picks up after that. looking forward to seeing the rest of the season. :)
