Does anybody know how to figure out whether a Chinese praying mantis mated and eggs are fertilized? lol

From reading online, seems if she mated it was before you found her.

Chinese PMs mating to fertilization is 3 weeks. Though hasn't it been more than 3 weeks since you have had her.

8 weeks post egg sack (ootheca) detaching from the Female PM in a semi hardened stage.
(these 8 weeks are supposedly crucial, if you are planning to keep the nymps healthy and growing you need to set the temperature to 12 - 15°c or (53.6 - 59° F)

I am not sure if Geroge can reproduce asexually. Though certain breeds can one of which is a South African breed.

You probably need to conduct further research to figure out the time frame. As I see you posted this a while back. GL @Stanthropical

I am sure if I a dug a little deeper for couple hours, I would find valuable details. Though I am on a time limit.

That doesn't answer my question at all. o_O

Basic info- according to 1 random site no known time frame. I am pretty sure is not very reliable.

I'm perfectly capable of doing research, but I was asking whether anybody knows, not how to conduct research. :P

From what I've read a fertilised egg sack will have a more uniformed shape and dark spots in it. An un-fertilised egg sack will not only harden after 5 days but start to shrivel up.

You can put the sack in the fridge until spring to delay hatching and release them in the garden.
You're gonna be a Grandpa! :p
