A baby bird has been chilling in my garden for a few days, but seems to be alone. Usually I see Mother/an nest about somewhere.
This bird spends most of its time sat on the grass, pecking for food, or hiding under bushes. It can fly, but doesn’t go very high or far. It’s difficult to get a decent photo, as I can’t get anywhere near without scaring it (and too faffy to get my dslr).
I thought it was a baby starling, but it’s too fluffy and lots of pale patches. Some research suggests it might be a juvenile cuckoo.
