Today is the last day of summer.
From last night actually, taken at a lighting show. I moved my phone as I took the photo, making the lights look like little pieces of lit up confetti or something.

After a miracle of a decent day at work (my own making) I went for a walk in the woods on my own. Just me, the wind, the rustling of leaves and the peace and quiet all around. The colours are at their best right now and I just loved it out there. Despite coming back looking somewhat like a 3 year old, mud up to my knees because it's rained SO much it splashed everywhere 
Oh well. Washing machine!

I’m keeping him outside, but under cover, to prevent the rain washing the snow away.

I think trees should be planted in early autumn. Maybe it depends on the kind of tree that is? I can show you Xmas trees which live exclusively outdoors and in pots, and are doing fine.
