Let's chat about photography

Hey there,

I'm really into photography (and cinema of course). A bit more than a year ago, I've started to dive into the art of photography myself, but I've only been posting regularly online for a few weeks now.

I won't be posting any of those pics for a matter of privacy, but I'd love to chat about it and maybe meet some people that love this art too.

I know it may be kind of pointless to talk about photography without showing any pics but I'm willing to throw this bottle in the sea I guess.

So if anyone wants to chat about it ... I'm here ... I guess

I'm into photography pretty shallowly (I don't actually know if I can share anything here either) I'm an artist and use my body/face as a canvas. I also take outfit shots daily. If my profile picture has ever been a chest, outfit, or makeup. I took photos for FCN and it's me. I do complicated makeup, cosplay, making my own clothes, drag, burlesque and take a lot of photos doing that stuff.

I have a few photos I took with an SLR that I am very proud of. One is of a bee on a flower that is in such amazing focus.

My first job was working in a camera store. I started with a Pentax K1000.

I'm currently using a Canon EOS 600D. It's the first camera I bought and the one I learned to use in college.

I take specific photos here to fit my dumb username.

I do not get help from anyone. It can be a long process for art and sometimes the shots I take I don't like c'est la vie. For a long time the problem was going to events, places, and doing shows and I'd never get photos of my outfits or how I looked before I arrived. Because I live by myself. I can't rely on strangers & friends all the time. Photographers should be paid for their work and photos aren't free. I was too broke for a long time to be able to pay people so the solution was getting a tripod and taking my own photos. Especially since most of the time I just wanna take outfit shots & not beautifully shot artistic photos. I do my own artistic photos when that's what I go for. But most of the time, I look nice & want a full body shot.

I also model for friends & other brands occasionally. I wear what they want me to. Or they ask me to do makeup in a certain way for what they want. Which involves someone else. But most of the time, I am a one person show. I do my own makeup, make my own wigs, outfits, costumes. I take all my own photos.
