Beginning to think the kilt clue is about the pose, like being in thought, rather than his (lack of) clothing. Or maybe it's a sounds as, clue. Like kilt, killed. Something like that.

We have a winner just the first clue was a bit cryptic but the rest were very much say what you see
I had no idea this book existed and just got lucky with searches on the chance it was Aberdeen Angus steak.
