I miss ballroom, but when my partner didn't want to do it any more it got too hard to continue But also tbh, it frustrated me a little that I had to led and didn't get any input
I was a ball-room dance instructor in my youth. It was the best way going to meet girls. Too many guys in my generation didn't think much of it so as a result, dance classes would be about 80/20. girls/guys. I can not think of another type of date where even before you even get to say hello almost, you have your hands all over, not just her, but 100 girls over the course of a night's dance class. The benefits included, you are up close, cheek to cheek and the music is always popular tunes of the time. You get to notice the girls with grace and poise. You get to find out how they are getting home after the class. And, the longer she comes dancing, the more fitter, more toned, more trim figure she develops. Yep, I look back on those times with very fond memories.
(I won't mention how catty/bitchy/cynical/intense/nerve-shattering comps were. If you get good enough to start competing, you'll soon find out. )
