It's no secret my first love is music... Metal and Rock of course.... But what's yours and why do you think it's the best??
Mostly blues and blues/folk based rock but I have learned over the years that I like music of all genres. There is some great music and some garbage in every genre. Of course, my garbage could be someone else's treasure.
Hard rock and classic rock....my two favs. They make for excellent concerts I do listen to a little of everything though
Whilst I have a wide range of music I listen to. Most of it is rock/metal from the likes of Prog Rock in the guise of Yes or Anderson, Wakemen and How to Deep Purple, Paramore, Nightwish and beyond.. Also keen on some Ska, Folk and Original Blues..
Lupine's definitely a man of taste. I like mainly rock, metal and punk, but equally happy listening to stuff like Tangerine Dreams. More into classic music than modern tosh.
Have to agree on the modern Tosh. Most of the modern stuff I listen to is from bands that have been around 15+ years.. It no longer worries me when someone says did you know this song is 30 years old. I just think it's it's finally bedding in
I get that all the time too - was listening to 'It Doesn't Have To Be Way' by The Blow Monkeys earlier on and it sounds as if it could have been made yesterday. It's 32 years old this year
Saw them supporting Level 42 last year... amazing to find out how many 'older' bands are still going!
Saw Level 42 with Spandau ballet and T'Pau plus I think Paul Young and a few others about 3 years ago now. Was great as I knew all the songs
well growing up in the 90s I liked the top 40s during then so you know pop music - Britney Spears, Backstreet boys, Christina Aguilera etc but I also like the early 2000s as well I kinda just stay there because today's music not really interested only some songs I like. I also enjoy Avenged Sevenfold and Evanescence. I even like some music that my parents like. I enjoy Michael Jackson, En Vogue, Def Leppard, Queen, Beatles. Pretty much different genres lol I don't really listen to a lot of country and don't care for scream-o type music.
I'm into a lot of things, but mostly Rock, Gothic Rock, Metal, Punk, and a little Happy Hardcore. Mostly bands such as Scarling., Jack Off Jill, The Birthday Massacre, Motion City Soundtrack, Sugarcult, and Seether. My stuff mostly sits right in the early 2000s, but for the bands that are still around from then like The Birthday Massacre, I will listen to the newest stuff from them.
