i can't play shit, ohhhh thats wrong i can do odde to joy, but i just loved the way that it felt when i picked it up for the first time
 
i had two things working against me, my lack of rhythm,
and buying an Ibanez full floating bridge guitar didn't help

Just keep practicing it & it will make other songs easy to play after my last band broke up the first time I went back & taught myself how to play again & wrote guitar tracks that would of been our first demo then after we broke up for good I kept playing guitar & got back into doing vocals
 
i know what you mean but the way i would do it is a quick rough tune with a cheap ass clipon tuner

then i harmonic tuned them by ear. my sister thought hers was in perfect tune i took it from her and no tuner i just touched it up, she was amazed how much better it sounded
 
another day she was playing as i walked by i just said e sting high is low and kept walking next thing i know she is yelling screw you you BOOB!
i asked was i right? in a softer tone she said yah...
 
Tuning by ear is hard & a talent half of musicians can't tune by ear like half can't read music myself included don't know a thing about music theorey I just play music haha it's something I always wanted to do since I was little
