On August 15th until August 18th, we're temporarily disabling the old chat to get feedback on the progress made with the new chat software.

We've addressed a lot of the concerns form the previous old chat downtime thread and look forward to getting more suggestions.

Some of the major changes are:

• Performance upgrades, for those that complained of lag, please let us know if any improvement.
• Bug fixes, various quirks in the system have been addressed.
• Layout changes.

Many of these changes have already taken effect, you can check them out live now in the new chat rooms, most of the visual changes will be incorporated next week.

Don't forget to check preferences and customize to your personal specifications, a lot of the feedback last time was related to individual taste, not problems with the software.

Thanks for the notice. I found it very slow, I can type quite quickly and was constantly being told "slow down or you will be muted"......not a nice message to receive! Also I was constantly told "stop repeating yourself or you will be muted"....and the only thing I "sometimes" repeated was LOL. The other was that I posted several pics of my own home and was actually muted for 3 min. for "spaming" now THAT did not sit well with me...I do not "spam".
