The Brain Setzer Orchestra is always fun to listen to.
They play Big Band , blues , swing and Rockabilly...all with a current feel and twist.

I’m into punk pop

Id suggest Story of the Year. My top 3 by them are "Anthem of our dying day", "And the hero will drown", and "Apathy is a deathwish"

 

Check out the genre synthpunk for something a bit different but similar. Mindless self indulgence is a good popular example but there are others including the French group sexy sushi

 

Cigarettes After Sex! I just saw them on Monday. Very chill indie rock!

I don't know about "new" but these are some rock bands that you may have or haven't heard of. I'd recommend any songs from any of these bands.
Soundgarden, The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Bush, Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc.
