Thoughts Neighborhood Q&A

@adam135 Were you ever irrationally scared of anything as a child?
I was afraid of tiny dogs. Not big ones because they also seemed so calm and well mannered. But tiny ones like a chihuahua would just incessently bark and shriek at anything that moves and I would reel back thinking they were about bite my face off lol. They looked like little gremlins to me *shudders*

@OnyxStorm Worst Disney movie you have ever seen and what made it so bad?
I would say I didn't really like the Remake of the newest Lion King. It just was weird to have real looking lions and it wasn't the same like the cartoon and the humor was left out of it. The cartoon will always be the best.

@FireflyEyes Who's poster did you have on your wall as a teen, if not posters then which celebrity did you idolize most at that age?
Hmm...(takes a little trip down memory lane). I used to paint murals on my walls, and write stories and poems and little ideas....I really liked music, so I tended to have album covers, or band name cutouts...rather than actual pictures of people. Like I really liked Silverchair, but every time I saw a picture of Daniel Johns I was always disappointed that that was what he looked like. I did have a Spice Girls poster, I was very much into Geri and the Mels and girl power.;) And I was definitely in love with the drummer from Green Day in my tween years. And Lauryn Hill.

@adam135

At first I laughed when I saw small dogs but then instantly thought CHIHUAHUA!! They're quite understandably intimidating and all but one lovely little dude called cino that I met at the beach and was super sweet have always seemed in dire need of anger management!

Those fuckers are evil midget dog small man syndrome angry at the world little bastards. I have had an interesting dream then subsequent bad experience with one many moons ago. Remind me to tell you that fucking epic wtf tale some day!

Are we spirit animals?! I was obsessed with Silverchair (saw them live twice and they were amazing! Can't deny Daniels talent!!) and their songs as well as a bunch of Nirvana songs were the very 1st I ever learned to play! I admittedly had lots of them REALLY BIG all over my wall but here's MY lil confession ... It was Chris the bass player who DID . IT . FOR . ME . BIG . TIME!! Lol

I think I had a spice girls poster at some awkward stage in my life before I started playing music definitely Greenday - I remember Billy joes feral teeth lol Lauren hill and TLC for me hehe. Thanks for the responce! Glad to know I wasn't the only one!

@AmWood Do you have a favorite Dr. Seuss book / character / moment?
Hmm...aside from our recent little exchange on Fox in Socks which, although brief, is now etched in my mind when I read the final stanza. So thank you again for that! :)

Let me start again before I get distracted. Aside from that I would have to say The Cat in the Hat. I’m especially fond of the ending where the cat returns after the fish and “Sally and I” express dismay at the mess they are faced with after all of the fun they had. I love how this character who created such chaos then returns to make things right. And then the children are left with the moral dilemma of should they tell their mother what happened. A question that is never resolved but instead asked of the reader. It’s just brilliant:

Well...
What would YOU do
If your mother asked YOU?

Then to all ....

If you know that today will be your last day on earth ..

1.How will you spend it
2.With who will you spend it
3.And why
First of all, I wouldn't set an alarm clock the evening before. Even if I'm pretty much sure I'll end up not being able to sleep past what would have been the alarm clock anyways... Sigh...

I would skip work, and make myself a relaxed day. Lazy breakfast, reading newspaper. I honestly can't tell right now if I would call/visit a few people I really care about for a casual chat or just prepare a letter for them for after I'm gone. To make sure they know I love them, that I had a happy life and that it was because of them. I've always failed to do that somehow. I wouldn't in any case let them them know or even give a hint in that direction before. The 2 things I dislike most is being in the center of attention and being pitied /sulk in self pity. I'd get something really nice to eat and drink, also two major sources of joy throughout my whole life.
Finally, I'd find some good excuse to be alone and write an epic essay that will change life of generations to come. Or post some last nudes on Fcn. Or watch storage wars Canada, aka the best show ever. I haven't really decided it yet :D

Just wanted to say that I have 2 chichi at home and they are cuddle bug and they love people. There is no bad dogs. They are the reflection of how their owner treats and discipline them. I got 3 dogs.... 2 chihuahua and 1 french bulldog and they are all chill dogs and people lover.
That's all :D have a great day everyone:cool:

@Busty_Nerd On average how much time a day do you spend online and roughly what percentage of that time is spent her at fcn?

Mostly all day unless i'm traveling, sick, at an event, at a doctor apt etc. My job requires me to be online as well as I don't have cable so I stream all my shows and movies through movie subscription services/youtube and when I play video games I don't play console I play PC so I am always at my computer. As for FCN, few hours. On the weekend sometimes i'll stay logged in more than a few hours.

@Oldgymrat What were you like in High School and did you know you wanted to be a chef some day yet?
I was a nerd/jock hybrid... caught on the baseball team played linebacker on football defensive left wing hockey. Loved star trek and star wars and Isaac Asimov. Also had a dark side before Goth was a thing( evident prominently on my arm) and I was artsy... I could draw and sculpt and paint....I was a rare go between in social groups... I did alot of peacemaking. Never did particularly well dating...

I cooked in high school. It was money. In college I still cooked studied accounting. It wasn't until I was taken under wing of a French trained chef that I realized that this was a calling...

Good morning @Oldgymrat
Name one thing that not many people know about you.

What is the best and worst thing you inherited from your parents?

What movie universe would be the worst to live out your life in and why?

What would you do if you made a mistake and somebody died?

What is your biggest pet peeve and when was the last time someone did it around you?

Enjoy and have fun!

Dude......

That I raised my little sister after my parents divorce... I was 10 she was 4

Best...my drive to provide and nurture.. watching my mom struggle to take care of us with an absentee father yet love us so strongly.
Worst... my fathers addictive tendencies. I am ever vigilant

The Star Trek universe.... nobody cooks!!!!
Theyd put me in one of those red shirts that gets you killed!!!

This one is very present day to day for me.... we have many members with severe food allergies and that are very old. Add to that the new Covid threat. And you get just a little preasure. I truely don't know how id react though... id most probably be crushed. Im the kind that thinks too much... it would forever run through my head as a " what I SHOULD have done.

Please forgive me..... Vegans.... then vegetarians ... here's why... and its a behavior not the idea of how they wish to eat.

This happens EVERY and I mean EVERY banquet function. I know this is not all of you but... you RSVP and say nothing... you arrive and say nothing... you drink cocktails and eat hors de ouvers and say nothing..... you sit down and say nothing.... you eat the salad and say nothing.... you then wait untill a server sets down a plate of meat in front of you so you can declare with much flourish " i cant eat this I'M A VEGETARIAN!!! And act put off...

Now.... come on... if its not about the attention why wouldn't you arrive find a server. Ask whats being served and politely ask for a vegetarian option???????? Happens every weekend....

My apologies to those of you both vegetarian and thoughtful...
