Thoughts Neighborhood Q&A

@Busty_Nerd
What do you think happens after death?

What’s the closest thing to magic that actually exists?

What’s the biggest lie you once believed was true?

Do you like to take the initiative or sit back and relax?

If someone had something on their face, would you tell them?

Enjoy and have fun:)

@Cumcamstar Do you have a favourite children's book? Can you tell me about it?

@FireflyEyes My favouriye childrens book used to be Roald Dahls Charle and The Chocolate Factory and the Glass Elevator. I loved the factory because I love escapism as a kid and who doesnt love sweets at that age. XD Also the glass elevator had this cool alien fight sequence

Thank you for the question.
Do we ask questions in this forum?

@Penguin_Petey If you were to join an adult choir/chorus group now, what sort of music would you like to sing?
That is a toughie: I still love to sing and the last time I actually sung on stage was totally accidental.
I can sing evrything from country, (I love Kenny Rogers and Billy Ray Cyrus) and I´m just as comfortable performing soul and pop.
That´s a bit like asking "what´s your favourite sandwich filling ?"
Oh and just between you and me if you promise not to share: I love to sing Christmas carols, Shhhhhh (and accapela).

Try "The Twits" by him you will love it, I promise

@Hubby_Home_Alone Do you/ Have you ever performed in something musically? Where and when do you usually sing?
I have never performed in anything musically - like on a stage. At time to time growing up I would play my guitar for family and such - but that is about it.

When do I usually sing? In my car - alone - with the radio or CDs. There are the odd moments with my family here and there where we might sing together.

I'm not much of a performer.

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Follow up question: How do you accidentally sing on stage? Were you singing in the shower and then the wall opened up revealing a stage in an amphitheater and it turned out to be an elaborate set up for some comedy show?

Thank you for asking me this Miss Eyes:) Yes, I wake up, eat an orange, do 50 crunches, 50 push-ups, stretch my legs for 5 minutes, and then head out for my 2.5 mile walk, three times a day:)
I see. Follow up question: When and what are some of the reasons you started this delightful ritual?

Oh the alien fight sequence!!! That was a great book, and I agree better than the factory.

Yes. It is a "get to know your neighbors" forum. Call someone up, leave then a question, wait for their reply. ;)

Yeah I remember my Aunt brought them for me - at their workplace they had this library for all sorts of books. That was my first novel - also another reason why i love those books.

Cool - i'll think one up - i have a few in mind ;)

I Googled things to do before a walk a few years ago. I used to just wake up, get dressed, and go, and then when I would come back, my legs would be killing me and it was because I didn't exercise properly so I started doing the stretches like 2 years ago, and then added the rest right at the start of the year for a New Years resolution:)

I used to be a caseworker for a veterans charity (the reasons behind my resignation are not suitable for forums) and I was attending our annual meeting for updates to laws and rights etc.
The hotel where our conference was being held was also hosting a Silver Wedding party, complete with live band and disco.
The band were on a break and I was sitting at the bar in a neighbouring part of the hotel, and was softly (?) singing along to some tune from the disco when the band leader came up to me and said I had a great singing voice and would I fancy doing a couple of numbers ?
I asked him what he had on his playlist and agreed.
When he went back onstage he announced me as a guest singer "Robbie Williams older brother"
I did 3 numbers, and left them begging for more, I also danced off with the prettiest girl in the hotel.
If you´ve ever sung karaoke, trust me, it is nothing like singing live.
I seem to have passed on my love of music to my son and one day when we were shopping, the song being played on the in-store station was one of our favourites, I turned around and there he was looking up at the ceiling speaker and said to me "come on Papa, we have to sing along, it´s our favourite song".
He was only 5 at the time and he is totally into all things musical.
Sorry for the long answer but there was no short answer.
