Thoughts Neighborhood Q&A

So how would you describe the juiciness of a peach when it is at just the perfect level of ripeness?
:p
Okay, I've had a minute to think about peaches.

Oh yes, peaches.

Sweet, succulent, make your tongue want to curl in your mouth, peaches.

Where I live, we can only buy them for about 3-4 weeks in the summer. Nobody sells unripe peaches. Farmers wait until they are in perfect condition, handpicking and individually wrapping each one. They cost at least 300 yen a peach (xe.com tells me that is $2.88US or £2.17), though usually they will be around 500-700 yen each. There is one local farmer who grows a very famous peach. One of his peaches usually go for 3000-5000 yen, plus shipping. (I’ve not had one yet).

I usually don’t buy peaches, except as gifts for other people. I gift peaches because I want others to enjoy gently rubbing the soft fuzz against their cheek, feeling it exceptional weight in their hands. I want them to breathe in the sweet dewy fragrance of its ripeness. But above all, I want them to sink their teeth into its soft juicy flesh. Feel the explosion as the skin gives way and their teeth melt through its tender meat. As their lips come away from that first bite and they begin to mash it with their tongues pressing the first bite of fruit against the roof of their mouths, nectar and saliva running down their throats, I hope they smile and think of me and are thankful for the peach.

okay, I had even more time for thinking about peaches.
Because thinking about peaches here, made me remember peaches in Ontario. A place where you buy a basket for $5.00CDN from an unmanned fruit stand on your way to god-fucking-knows to camp for the long weekend. These peaches are small, smaller than a tennis ball, which when I used to eat them was the size I thought all peaches were. You pick one out of the basket and give it a little squeeze hoping it will just give a little under its skin where your thumb presses it. After washing, because the fuzzy is a little grizzly, you take a bite out of one of the two sides (only a monster would bite into its crack...and you know who you are...drawing your tongue along that fuzzy crevice before sinking your teeth in :p ). An instant of sour and sweet thrills your taste buds as the yellowish flesh comes away in your mouth. These peaches also get a good salivation going...and you may need to eat two or three before you are fully sated.

Too personal, I'll skip this one :)

Too personal, I'll skip this oneo_O

What are two of your favorite snacks?

Too personal, I'll skip this one... Or rtaher:
Just 2? I can only choose 2??
I'll skip that one too, because it's impossible to limit to just 2 :D

What is your favorite foreplay?

I love to caress. Follow curves, explore skin... I could do it for hours...

What are some of the telltale signs of a shallow person?

I don't believe anyone is shallow per se. If I find someone shallow, it probably because we just have no common interests. It doesn't mean I am more thoughtful, smarter or "deeper".
I basically did not answer your question again...

@FireflyEyes Good morning!!!!

Good afternoon from this side of the pond!

What is the most stressful TV show or movie you watched?

The first time I watched Predator. I was waaaaaay too young, maybe 7 or 8. Watched it on TV at home with my dad. Seriously cannot remember feeling so stressed about any other film or programme. Literally hiding behind cushions. I do love the film now!

Where do you like going for walks?

Right now I’ll take anywhere, I’m practically confined to my apartment. But my favourite local places are the woods which I can see from my window (they are taunting me) and the grounds of a local stately home which I’ve been going to since before I could walk.

Do you think older men/women are sexy?

Yes but not because of their age. I think age is practically irrelevant to what makes a person sexy in my eyes.

Is there ever a time when giving up makes sense?

Definitely. If it gets to the point where constantly trying something is damaging to your own well-being, there comes a time where you have to take a step back and reevaluate.

Tell me about a funny family story.

First thing that comes to mind is my Nan being totally oblivious as my cousins and I were practically rolling on the floor laughing after she said she “had to go down town for a joint” - she meant to the butchers :D:D:D

Thanks for the questions

Hi again @AlexWS !

1. Looking for pink make-up palettes that feature mostly pastels, I finally found one. That had been my obsession for a long time. Crushed velvet fabric dresses and faux fur that's dyed cool colors.

2. Everything lol. Anxiety sucks.

3. At anime or fantasy conventions. I am with my people having a good time getting drunk with anime nerds in a costume. Good times.

4. Parrots, I'd welcome that.

5. I am very much into self-improvement. It motivates me and keeps me in a healthy headspace.

@AlexWS I missed these, sorry for the late reply.
Which sport do you think they'll invent next?
Social distance rugby. Or something like dodgeball involving bows and arrows…
What bit of trivia do you know that's very interesting?

The species of firefly that live in my river dance for 20-40 minutes twice a night, for about 14 nights a year. At just after 8pm and just before 11pm. But only if the sky is clear. They won’t dance in the rain.
What was your funniest or worst experience with a dentist?

I have a good friend who is a dentist. He was round for a BBQ a couple years ago. I don’t have a garden, but a river than runs behind my home, and a bridge over the river that we BBQ on/do outdoor meals. And there is always a constant chorus to any children at these events, “don’t fall in the river.” Well, the dentist having had about 2 bottles of wine too much to drink felt he needed to demonstrate how to not fall in the river. Failing miserably in his demonstration, he managed to knock out his own front tooth in the process. Needless to say, his wife doesn’t let him come over anymore.
What is the one freaky dare you won’t act upon?

I don’t know. I have never been dared to do anything I felt was beyond me yet.
Have you ever done a striptease for anyone?

Of course. Privately for a partner. Publicly, as a fundraiser with my rugby team.
