I got banned rom chat a while ago (couple months) for "spamming links". The site lets you send a link depending on how long you have been logged in (i assume this is to stop bots logging in and spamming links). but that means when you're logged in you can send 3 or 4 links if you've been logged in for 3 or 4 hours. but, in your first minute if you send 1 link you will get a warning. so its not just a blanket "No links" rule it seems.
well evidently i hadn't been logged in long enough for my allotted links and i got banned. However, it was to a friend on my friends list (not in public chat) and we were in the middle of a conversation.
long story short im not a bot im a person. and while i appealed my ban with the screenshot following all the rules multiple times (with at least a month gap to make sure i wasn't spamming my appeal). i logged in today to see my IP is still banned but this new message saying "If you believe this ban was in error please post in our forums". (i took a screenshot)
The forum information seems out of date because it tells you specifically not to post in forums (i tried previously) so i'd just like some help.
Conclusion
Not a spam bot - real person
Followed prosses - Sent screenshots and did the appeal thing
Not trying to shortcut by posting in forum - The new notice is telling me to
Just want to get back to chatting with friends - Thank you for any help.
