I have noticed for quite some time in the PetiteWomen room there is no general agreement on what qualifies as petite. Everyone seems to have a different answer. So here is your chance to join in the poll so we can see which answer I have received comes out victorious.
 
Small / Little.
I'm tall and slim with small breasts, but wouldn't consider myself petite. Mostly because of my height I guess.
 
It always meant below average height.

If you dress a petite person in regular sized clothes, they'll be too long and seem baggy as a result.
If you dress them in youth / children's clothes, they'll be too tight majority of the time.

Petite clothing is manufactured shorter.
 
Petite means little. As in 'look at the little ones...' Antoine de Saint-Exupérys book ' Le Petit Prince is The Little Prince. . But it doesn't really matter does it? 8 billion people on the planet and all can communicate with each other, bringing their own language and dialects with them There is probably a subreddit where they work on a definition what petite means that will be accepted across the universe

No, it doesn't matter. I just find it fascinating to see why people choose the way they do. Even if it is blatently wrong
