Bug PM Initial Text Goes to Find not the Message

initiating a pm and start typing but the text goes to the browser search function and not into the message text box

Are you clicking into chat text input box?
Can you tell us which device you use? OS version? Which web browser?

I would like to have to select the text box...just start typing if possible. Windows Firefox

Are you saying it works fine, you just have to click into it first?

Yes, that is correct....I'm requesting the same behaviour as the old chat
