What is it that earns 'points', and what is the purpose of bank 'money'?

You earn points by posting in the forum,. Bank money used to be able to buy virtual gifts in chat now that feature is defunct. Then you used to be able to tip chatters with the money in place of the gifts, and you can't do that anymore. Now it's just forum points to show how active you are in the forum.

Its a real shame that feature was discontinued
