Thoughts Positivity and happiness thread.

@Thalassa one can be kind and good without expecting the otherwise to respond in the same way. To just do it for own soul. Then the feeling of loss, drain, depletion does not exist as nothing was expected.

Not saying I am above the caveat you stated, however, that's the place I hope to reach. - Peace

I fully understand what you mean and my aim is to behave like that as well. My mantra is "no attachments, no expectations, no complaints". It's hard to put in action when life throws you curveballs but it's how it ought to be.

Imagine a scale with regular intervals. Imagine three color blocks, red, blue and green, in that order on the scale, from left to right.
In descending size: The green block is longest, the red block is shorter, and the blue block is shortest.

GREEN : People who do good and expect a return on their time / energy investment (even if they don't actually think they do. When they have complaints or experience disappointment, that is proof of their expectations).

RED : They are those I spoke about in my caveat. They are life, time and energy suckers. Forget having expectations, they unfailingly and consistently hurt, use, and fuck over others, under the pretense of caring, friendship, love.

BLUE : The rarest. They aim to do good without expectation, to raise the dignity of humankind, to restore faith in what it means to be good and to give unconditionally.

All three categories exist. GREEN & BLUE folks do not destroy. RED folks do. Hence it being important to express that caveat. Good people do not deserve being broken down. However, I am unattached to whether people heed it or not. I am satisfied knowing that I spoke up and did my human duty.

Stay positive everyone. I know this and can't be easy during this stressful time but just remember, I'm there for you. If you need a hug, I will hug you. If you need to hear a funny or very off color joke to put a smile on your face, I can do my best for you. If you need love, I can give you that as well, I have plenty to give. Chin up:)
