I made some crude shelves (can I call them shelves?) for the kitchen counters to house teas, coffees and related paraphernalia.

I needed a new coffee table, so I built one out of quarter sawn white oak. blood, sweat and part of a pinky went into it..

Added one, thick, sloppy coat of oil-based stain-and-finish-in-one, and frankly, I like the crude, runny look, because it matches this crude, outdated home perfectly. I was going to finish them to look uniformly stained, but I won't be wasting another minute.

I'm a wood carver. Here's a few of the things I've carved. The birds are about 10 years old, part of a collection of 100 birds, all the same pattern, carved from 100 different woods. The bowl is something I carved recently, from a piece of Ash. The inlay is crushed turquoise. Oh, and the two silver dots are a fence staple that was in the tree.

@Pppp99 Looks like we have the same project going on. 6 weeks of spray painting. Next up is to get a pickguard, some pickups and a soldering iron.

It's a cheap kit guitar I got as a gift so I'm not putting that much effort into it it has a bit of aluminum shielding on the pickguard, but that's all it's getting. If it plays well when I'm finished, I might eventually make a few more upgrades, but we'll see. Yours looks pretty cool, I'd love to see the finished product

I'm likely to go with 1 piece maple neck and Iron Gear pickups. No idea what tremolo bridge, pickguard colour, locking tuners and straplocks as there's too much choice. But I'm hoping to get it sorted in the next month or so.

Sound like pretty decent choices
Maybe you can get a regular start bright from a fender or something, or maybe you can go with the modern versions of those but they are priceyer
