It's National Grief Awareness Day
Grief is not simply something you can get over. It isn’t neat, tidy, or constrained by time. It comes in waves—sometimes gentle, sometimes so powerful that it knocks you down. It lingers in empty rooms, in the silence after the phone fails to ring, and in the moments you wish you could share but cannot.
Grief changes you.
Today, on National Grief Awareness Day, I want to remind you of the importance of acknowledging and honoring your emotions.
If you are grieving, you are not alone. Your love, your pain, and your story all matter.
And if you’re not grieving, look around—someone you know is carrying a weight you cannot see. Offer them gentleness, patience, and space. The truth is, grief never truly leaves—and neither do the people we love.
