I mean for the whole world
I left here completely for months because I met someone from here irl. We had been talking for over a year prior and were irl exclusive for months.
We got along amazingly well for that year+ and for the first 2 months irl, but then problems started to surface and we got in one bad fight. He ended his trip to see me early and then blocked me everywhere.
Normally we were always able to talk arguments through and communicate with each other, but that seemingly fell apart once we met irl..
Anyway, point to my rambling is, things online don't always translate to real life, no matter how well you think you know a person.
Also, don't meet people from here in person. Trust me.

I have to disagree. I’ve met folk from sites similar to this and those people have turned out pretty much exactly as they’ve portrayed themselves online.
I hope you don’t let one bad experience dictate your life.
Having read a couple of your posts I realise that trusting people can be hard thing for you, and others on here, but you also have to find ways to enjoy life. In general trusting your instincts with most people won’t let you down, although unfortunately that is not always the case.
Whatever it is you’re looking for I hope you find a way to find it.

This wasn't my first time meeting someone offline. The first time I ever did, it went really well, but that was years ago during myspace days.
Sites like this are a different breed. Even if everything in you says the person is amazing and absolutely nothing can go wrong with meeting up irl. Even if you (think) you know pretty much everything about the person and vice versa. Everything can blow up in your face just like that once you're face to face.
I appreciate the positive sentiment, but I still strongly disagree.
