This is how,

We as Americans are selfish by nature for the most part. Not to mention, if we took precautions that some of the Asian countries are taking to ensure isolation there would be riots in the streets.

In Asia, doors have been welded shut to keep people in apartment buildings, the use of ankle bracelets for tracking location along with stiff fines and arrests for being outdoors of your home is another, not to mention police force (beatings) and public shaming

Not trying to be a smart ass, but this is how it happens as i see it

Now granted now SOME beaches have been closed in Florida (too late)
Most if not all states have banned public gatherings of more than X amount of people (but how is it enforced)

as long as this keeps up the spread will keep up with it

Here in Germany a lot of people took their time to stay home but now everyone got the message. No riots. The US came late to the Corona party. All you had to do is watch and learn from Europe's mistakes in handling this crisis. But the experts needed time to get that Mango Musolini back to reality. Because he downplays this situation, nobody takes it serious.
I'm still waiting for him to announce that he's going to build a big wall along the east coast to keep the virus out. Of course Europe and China have to pay for it.
