Hell yes to the suicide stuff @SubSoph Depressed people aren't fun to be around. I think they often get ignored, dismissed, and disqualified from mattering to people because of it. Some people have quirky personalities that make them look like they're seeking attention (hard to explain) and get made fun of. It's an injustice tbh and it took me a long time to see it. It makes me observe a little closer, keeping in mind that I don't truly know someone else's thoughts. But we all matter. We're all important. Regardless of what we've done, or said, or how we feel. And btw early childhood trauma and mental health issues change things in a way that many people don't understand so if you can be nice, keep your mouth closed. ❤
 
It's hard for me to keep my mouth shut sometimes, when I see people being racist / sexist / abusive -- especially towards women.

I've learnt to shut down my "savior complex" on fcn. You get dragged into stupid drama which is not worth your peace of mind and is a great waste of your precious time and energy.

Offline however, I'm still the person who's gonna tell you -- loudly and clearly -- to back off (aka fuck off) if the victim isn't standing up for themselves.
 
Another thought related to the above:

Don't turn people into projects. Self-destructive people are unwilling to change their behaviors and attitudes, because there are payoffs for them and they are used to / addicted to those payoffs. Your mental sanity and your life will be lesser in every way. The best thing is to not let yourself get sucked into forgiving shitty behavior, to ignore and cut them out of your life entirely.
 
Ok all of you out there. Doesn't matter what gender or ethnic group. Doesn't matter where or who you are. I just wanted to say thank you.

The woman I considered my best friend for the longest time came by to visit her kids yesterday. It really breaks my heart to see how drugs can change someone so much and take everything you love away from you.
I hate it. Seeing her suffer and deteriorate. her kids suffer. Just because she can't stop getting high.
