There's something really special about being able to sit with someone who is suffering, without giving unwarranted advice/counsel and being a sounding board and/or support for them to lean on. I need more people like that in my life and I also want to be that person.

It’s been quite the last few months. Completed two courses in law school that were scary and challenging, but kicked ass. In the process of a career change and doing all of this while caring for a parent with mild onset dementia. I’ve been tired, most definitely challenged, and focused. I know that I am still blessed and fortunate . Thank you to the friends I have here who support and root for me.

Thank you. I have no idea what my end goal is. Hell, I unexpectedly chose to be a certified substance use counselor after the degree! Life is full of undiscovered mysteries

I love the intimacy of eye contact. The ability to look in someone’s eyes and know what they’re thinking and how they’re feeling. The ability to look into someone’s eyes and have a whole conversation without speaking a single word.
