Glad it’s Friday. Good weekend’ish planned. Boys football training tomorrow. Out for food in the afternoon. May indulge in a few drinks. Remembrance Sunday, so pay my respects at the cenotaph. Food prep. Back work :eek::D
 
I remember when I grew up in the 80/90ies. I always thought that world is going in the right direction. Slowly everything is going to be better for everyone. There was still a hope that democracy would spread. Reagan and Gorbachev even smiled together. Now everything is so dark. Just look at Ukraine, women’s rights in Afghanistan, children dying and starving every day in Gaza. Stupid old stubborn men ruling countries. I won’t give up but it’s just dark.

Thread, I miss midnight releases of video games at a GameStop. I remember fondly when my dad took my brother and I to the release of Halo 3, and as soon as we got our copy we were over the MOON, that night we didnt even sleep! we finished the fight (i played as the Arbiter, he has a sword!)

I'm always disappointed that the default for a lot of society is to assume the worst in a person/seek out the worst in their intentions. even if it ends up being right, is that really an empathetic approach to life?

(i stg if anyone reads this and thinks it's about them I will hit you so hard with a frying pan. it's not always personal!!)

Navy Cammies are kinda silly but kinda sexy at the same time (or is it just @Heidiwil ), HHHHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGSSSSSSSSSSS to all my brothers and sister in arms this Veterans day. My time in the Navy gave me opportunities, confidence, and experience and shaped the person i am today. Being part of a team like no other taught me other points of view and helped me understand how to value what is inside a person not what is on the outside. And most importantly it taught me more about myself.

God bless female vets @Heidiwil and @BadBabe77 who joined me facing not only the armed services but also the challenge of being a woman in the armed services. Confidence and inner strength is so sexy :)

I'll second that! Much appreciation to all our service members. And yes, cammy can be very sexy!!!
