Even if it's just sometimes. Do it. It's not an easy job. 
Why? Why just randomly stop talking to a person for no reason and then have the nerve to claim you're still their "friend"? Why think they won't see you literally talking to everyone else except them and be okay with it?

Went through this same thing it really does suck. I don't really have any advice as it still upsets me but just know you are worthwhile, it says more about them then it ever could about you
